Grading guide
Every item is tested and graded
We test each phone and laptop in the United States before it is shipped, give it a grade from A to D, and photograph every defect we find.
The four grades
Every listing shows its grade. The grade sums up the condition; the listing shows every mark and fault in detail.
- A: Like new: no visible marks, battery 85%+Almost no signs of use.
- B: Light wear: light marks, all shownSmall signs of use. Everything works, and every mark is in the photos.
- C: Visible wear or a minor fault: all listedScratches or marks you can see, or a small problem written on the listing.
- D: For parts: major fault, sold as-isFor parts or repair. It can be returned only if we gave you a different item: another model, or an IMEI or serial number that doesn’t match the listing.
Tested before it is listed
Every phone also comes with a device history report.
What we check on every phone
- IMEI blacklistWe check that the phone’s IMEI is not reported lost or stolen.
- iCloud and Google lockWe check that the phone is not locked to someone else’s iCloud or Google account.
- Carrier lockWe check that the phone is not locked to one mobile network, so you can use your own SIM card.
- Battery healthWe measure the battery’s health and show it on the listing. Grade A needs 85% or more.
- ScreenWe check the display and touch, and photograph any scratch, crack or mark.
What we check on every laptop
- BatteryWe measure battery health and charge cycles and show them on the listing.
- ScreenWe check the display for dead pixels, lines, marks and damage.
- KeyboardWe test every key.
- PortsWe test the charging port, the USB ports and the other connections.
- Storage healthWe check the drive’s health, and the storage is wiped before sale.
- BIOS and activation locksWe check that there is no BIOS password, firmware lock or account activation lock.
How defects are photographed
We would rather you see a scratch in a photo than find it at the counter.

Each item is photographed from several angles, so no part of it is left out.
Screen on
One photo shows the screen switched on.
One close-up per defect
Each defect gets its own close-up photo.
In words too
Each defect is also written on the listing in Dari, Pashto and English, so the photo and the words say the same thing.
Doesn’t match the listing?
If an item doesn’t match its listing, you can return it within 3 days.
